The experience of shadowing Dr. Vokshoor during my internship at the Institute of Neuro Innovation is one that has made a lasting effect on the trajectory of my eventual career as a nurse. Because of the opportunity to be exposed to the Operation Room setting where I was able to observe Dr. Vokshoor perform several surgeries, I have decided to specialize in surgical nursing once I complete nursing school and eventually continue on to become a nurse anesthetist. Throughout the week, I was challenged to apply knowledge and critical thinking skills to keep up with the rigorous pace of work required to succeed in a healthcare setting. The fantastic team at the INI foundation created an environment that made the week an absolute pleasure!
