To be able to intern alongside Dr. Vokshoor was a phenomenal privilege. Within a week I observed multiple surgeries, including a craniotomy, scribed for many patients, and saw what a neurosurgeon’s life is like both in the hospital and clinic setting. Dr. Vokshoor is so skillful, thoughtful, and inspirational—such an expert in his practice. You can truly see his good-natured sprit and compassion when interacting with every single one of his patients. Participating in this internship allowed me to obtain new experiences; most important to me was learning incredibly valuable information firsthand from a neurosurgeon. This opportunity was an invaluable experience that will resonate with me throughout my entire journey in medicine.
