My internship with the Institute of Neuro Innovation was the most humbling, rewarding, and interesting experiences I have ever had. I shadowed Dr. Vokshoor for a week in a clinical setting and in the operating room. We went to three different clinic locations, and I had the opportunity to scribe for Dr. Vokshoor in all three clinics. I learned so much about the brain and spine and how they function together while scribing. It was truly an exciting experience. I also had the amazing opportunity to scrub in on two spine surgeries, which was the best experience of my life. I have never been exposed to the OR setting before, so seeing that for the first time solidified my love for surgery. Dr. Vokshoor is very knowledgeable, compassionate and easy to talk to, and is willing to teach you and make sure you are involved in his practice as much as possible. I am so grateful for this experience and I would highly recommend this to anyone who has a true love for medicine, especially neuroscience. Thank you Dr. Vokshoor and the INI team!
