My internship with the Institute of Neuro Innovation has been one of the most interesting and rewarding experiences I have had. In a week of shadowing Dr. Vokshoor, I sat in on clinic at three different locations, observed a surgical procedure, and witnessed the day-to-day interaction between Dr. Vokshoor, his patients, and his staff.

Watching surgery (a spinal discectomy fusion procedure) was extremely exciting and such a unique opportunity for someone without a medical background. Dr. Vokshoor is very open and easy to talk to, and the knowledge I gained about brain and spine function and dysfunction was invaluable. I would wholeheartedly recommend the internship for anyone interested in gaining hands-on experience in neuroscience, medicine, or the healthcare industry.
