Gala Planning has Begun!

We have started planning for our 11th annual gala, and we are so excited for all of our supporters to join us in celebrating INI’s 10th anniversary!

Our theme this year is…

Inner Space!

This year we will celebrate the parallels between outer space and the microworld of the brain. The stars are our neurons, solar systems are our networks, and galaxies are our consciousness. Our deep desire to explore and understand the vastness and uncertainty is equal at both extremes. The theoretical and scientific knowledge that we have uncovered through space exploration has opened doors to breakthroughs in neuroscience.

As we join the world in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, we must also take the time to remember all of those who worked diligently to get us there. Thanks to the countless number of mathematicians, physicists, astronomers, astronauts, and other scientists and dedicated parties, we were able to accomplish what many thought could never be done. In the process of understanding our universe, we have made many discoveries and developed new theories that continue to be built and expanded upon today. As we explore space, we make connections not only in the arena of astrophysics, but also in biology, chemistry, and neuroscience!

Amazing feats can be accomplished by humanity when we come together and work towards a similar goal. Neuroscience is the next frontier, and we are delving deep into our brain’s microuniverse at full-throttle.
