Thank you for your interest in the INI Research Internship Program. This is a project-based, educational internship designed to align with an academic quarter or semester. Applicants apply to specific research projects and are selected based on project availability, skills, interests, and timing.

Priority consideration is given to active members of INI @ UCLA.

This internship is unpaid. Undergraduate interns are expected to pursue academic course credit through their home institution, where applicable.

Application Overview

• Internships typically span 6–10 weeks

• Interns are placed on one primary research project

• Projects may be completed remotely or in a hybrid format

• Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis

• Not all applicants can be placed due to project availability

Review Timeline

• Applications must be sent in the quarter before your Research Internship

• Applicants will receive an initial response within 5–7 business days

• Not all applicants will receive placement in an Internship Project.
