What is Included in the Internship?

We are proud to offer a 10-day, unpaid educational internship program in which students are able to shadow Dr. Amir Vokshoor and/or a Board Member in both an outpatient clinical setting and the operating room, interns get a first-hand look at the life of a neurosurgeon. Your 10-day Internship Experience can be spread out over the course of 6 weeks.

Your first day of the Internship Experience will begin with shadowing Dr. Vokshoor in his Neurosurgical Clinic viewing patients. You will have the opportunity to explore and understand the various opportunities that I.N.I. has to offer in Research, Education, and Philanthropy. After your first day, you will select a personal project in Research, Education, or Philanthropy to focus on during your time as an I.N.I. Intern. During the remaining days as an intern, you will have the opportunity to spend time your time between: working on your personal project and shadowing physicians in the clinic.

At the end of your Internship Experience, in addition to completing your personal project, you will complete a Neuroscience Anthology post for publication on the I.N.I. website and media, and have the opportunity to shadow Dr. Vokshoor in the Operating Room.

Eligibility

This opportunity is available to all individuals interested in Neuroscience or the medical field. We encourage students of all backgrounds to inquire about this opportunity. *Applicants must be at least of Junior standing if currently an Undergraduate Student.

Important Details to Note

Please note that there is significant interest in this Internship Program. This may result in potentially having to wait for Clinical Opportunities for Shadowing to open in the schedule. It is our hope and intention to provide all eligible applicants with a unique and fulfilling Internship Experience.

*There is a non-refundable application fee of $100. Application Fee can be submitted by Donations through the Contribute Tab on the Menu
