Meeting with Project Angel Food
The Institute of Neuro Innovation is always working to improve so we can make the biggest impact while also running efficiently as a non-profit organization. One of the best ways to learn how to grow and progress is to look to other well-established, incredible non-profit organizations for advice.
Thanks to a connection through one of our amazing auxiliary board members, we met with the team at Project Angel Food in Hollywood! Project Angel Food in a non-profit organization that prepares and delivers free, healthy meals to people impacted by serious illness. Established in 1989 in response to those suffering from malnutrition from HIV/AIDS, Project Angel Food has since grown to deliver over 600,000 meals per year, bringing comfort, hope, and nutritious meals to individuals and families impacted by a variety of life-threatening illnesses.
After a tour of their facilities, we sat down with Bobby, Richard, and Mark who shared their successes, mistakes, and notable experiences related to running Project Angel Food. The knowledge we gained from our informative discussion will be shared with our entire board at our upcoming board meeting, which will help us determine the direction of our development as we look towards the new decade (2020)!
